School Supply Drives’ Successful Finish Across CMA Plants
Before the start of the school year, CMA holds local school supply drives across our Tacoma, Decatur and
Spartanburg plants in the month of July. This initiative allows CMA employees an opportunity to make a lasting impact in their community.
At the Tacoma plant, CMA employees provided school supplies to students in the Bethel School District ranging from pre-school to high school. CMA employees contributed over 600 items, along with a 35% increase in donations from the previous year.
At the Decatur plant, CMA partnered with Untied Way of Morgan County to organize their annual “Stuff the Bus” charity. CMA Decatur plant saw a 54% increase in donations from the previous year. The collected supplies were distributed to students in Morgan County, Decatur City, and Hartselle City Schools—three school systems, totaling 44 schools.
At the Spartanburg plant, CMA participated in the “United for Students: School Supply Drive” hosted by United Way of Piedmont for the sixth year in a row. Donating over 300 items, the supplies were sent to seven different Spartanburg County School District schools. Not only will these contributions help support local students’ success, but ensure students facing financial challenges can have what they need to succeed.
CMA hopes to continue this ongoing relationship with our local school districts to guarantee a successful school year for students.
