World Quality Month Celebration

World Quality Month Celebration

November 07, 2013

The month of November is World Quality Month, and TCA is joining in on the celebration this year in hopes of showcasing and celebrating the advancements and valuable quality contributions throughout our company.

Associates get to attend weekly kick-off events and visit a 24/7 museum-style exhibit featuring different aspects of the Quality department at TCA. The kick-off events introduce the weekly topics, which range from the Quality Management System to finding root cause and corrective action, and identifying defective material.  Associates who visit the weekly exhibits have the opportunity to complete quizzes for the chance to win cash prizes.

World Quality Month began in Japan in 1960, where activities were organized to increase quality awareness. WQM then branched out to China in 1978, before catching wind in the U.S. and Canada in 1988. The American Society for Quality facilitates events and awareness in the United States, encouraging businesses to focus on the strategic importance of quality and continuous improvement.
