CMA Tacoma Plant Holds Booth at Clover Park Technical College’s “Day Zero” Event
CMA Tacoma Plant
was honored to take part in Clover Park Technical College’s “Day Zero” event — a welcoming and orientation day designed to kick off the summer quarter and introduce students to the many career opportunities available within their community.
During the event, CMA team members shared an overview of the company, its role in the local manufacturing industry, and the variety of career paths it offers. Employees also spoke about their personal journeys in manufacturing, providing students with real-world perspectives on how careers can grow and evolve within the industry. It was an opportunity not just to inform, but to inspire the next generation of skilled professionals.
Beyond the presentations, CMA employees joined students for icebreaker and team-building activities, helping to break down barriers and create meaningful connections. These activities encouraged open conversations about career goals, workplace values, and the importance of teamwork — both in the classroom and on the manufacturing floor.
CMA values opportunities like “Day Zero” to engage directly with students and support workforce development in our region. Building these early connections strengthens the bond between local industry and education, ensuring a strong, skilled, and community-focused workforce for the future. CMA looks forward to continuing this partnership with Clover Park Technical College and investing in the growth of our local talent.
