Decatur Plant Attends Career and Workforce Expos
Members of the Decatur Plant HR team attended the 2025 Career and Workforce Expo on February 11, 2025. The event was hosted by the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce. This event is to inform local high school students of the requirements needed for careers in high demand and the skills necessary for placement and future advancement. The expo was hosted at the beautiful Ingalls Harbor Pavilion in Decatur, AL. They were given the opportunity to welcome over 1,200 students from local high schools all over Morgan County and talk with them about what Toray is and what the company does, and what industries we support with our product. Students were able to visit over 75 businesses who are invested in our future workforce. This event is always a huge success and benefits not only the students, but businesses in the community as well.
On March 5, 2025, the Decatur HR team was able to attend the very first Career Expo for Limestone County Schools. This “Blazing Your Path Career Expo” event was also hosted at Ingalls Harbor and gave over 750 seniors from the Limestone County area an opportunity to learn about careers in many different industries. This all-day event hosted six different high schools and provided them a learning opportunity to engage with over 60 plus companies to hear about all of the possibilities that are out there to explore. They were met with numerous students who were interested in manufacturing and learning about carbon fiber. The students were engaged and ready to interact when they approached the Toray booth. It was a great opportunity for Decatur Plant to interact with seniors in the area who are ready to enter to workforce after graduation.
