CMA Tacoma Plant Holds Summer Cleaning Event

On August 26, 25 CMA employees volunteered an hour of their time to help pick up trash and litter on the streets outside of the Tacoma Plant. Two sessions were held—one in the morning and one in the evening. Findings from the Cleaning Day event included cigarette butts, food wrappers and plastic containers.

The results of Cleaning Day were shared at the following Safety Committee Meeting, where employees were educated about waste and fire hazards caused by improperly disposed of cigarette butts. We hope the findings from the event help bring attention to the importance of protecting our local environment.
