Members of Senator Patty Murray's Staff Visit TCA
April 10, 2013A two-decade veteran of the United States Senate, Patty Murray is no stranger to the contributions that citizens of Washington State add to our nation’s work force. Her staff, equally invested in our state’s affairs, often acts as liaisons between Senator Murray and Washington State families, businesses, and corporations.
On April 10, 2013, Toray Composites America had the honor of welcoming two members of Senator Murray’s staff: Brian Kristjansson, Washington State Director; and Kristiné Reeves, South Sound Regional Director and Veterans Constituency Coordinator. The pair was greeted by TCA staff, and presented with an overview of Toray Industries and TCA. They were also given a briefing on the safety standards and policies currently in place at TCA. Following the company presentation was an in-depth tour of the production facilities.
Mr. Kristjansson and Mrs. Reeves had the opportunity to learn about each step of the process in making composite materials, as well as seeing the various machines and operations present at TCA. Mrs. Reeves noted that Senator Murray is a member of the Senate Veteran Affairs Committee, and would be particularly eager to learn about TCA’s interest in providing career opportunities to United States veterans transitioning into civilian life. She noted Senator Murray’s investment in these matters, and hopes to provide connections to TCA in order to facilitate this opportunity.
As a company invested in its community, TCA was pleased to welcome Mr. Kristjansson and Mrs. Reeves to its facilities. The company deeply values its connections with the South Sound region and the State of Washington, and hopes to continue fostering its relationships with state leaders.
